CARC (CHEMICAL AGENT RESISTANT COATINGS)

National Coatings & Supplies | Single Source Inc offers New U.S. Army-Approved CARC-L Coating System. These high-performance Military Coatings have been applied to military ground, aviation, aerospace, marine, and commercial equipment.

NCS | SSI carries NCP Coatings, one of the top suppliers, which is known for its Technologically advanced performance coating solutions for military, naval, and marine. In addition to Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC), NCS | SSI offers CARC-L, the revolutionary, U.S. Army-approved coating system. CARC-L is a cutting-edge, two-component water-dispersible urethane qualified to MIL-DTL-64159C.

CARC-L Coating Highlights

  1. Low Solar Absorption: The coating is engineered to absorb less solar radiation, reducing the surface temperature of vehicles, equipment, and structures when exposed to direct sunlight. This helps in minimizing heat buildup, which can degrade materials over time and affect operational efficiency.
  2. Chemical Agent Resistance: Like traditional CARC, CARC-L provides protection against chemical warfare agents, making it essential for military vehicles and equipment that may operate in chemically hazardous environments.
  3. MIL-DTL-64159C Qualified: The coating system meets the strict military specification for water-dispersible urethane coatings, ensuring it provides top-tier performance, durability, and environmental resilience.
  4. Enhanced Aesthetic and Camouflage Properties: CARC-L incorporates Army Research Labs-developed colors, such as black, green, brown, tan, and sand, which are optimized for military camouflage while also working with advanced signature management technologies.
  5. Thermal Management Benefits: The reduced heat absorption also improves the survivability and comfort of personnel in military vehicles and helps extend the operational lifespan of equipment by mitigating the adverse effects of excessive heat.

Overall, the Low Solar Absorbing CARC-L system represents an evolution of military coatings, integrating enhanced thermal management without sacrificing chemical resistance or durability. This makes it ideal for use on military vehicles, aircraft, and other equipment operating in extreme conditions.
